It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Thomas McCready Sr. (Medford, New Jersey), who passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas McCready and Eva; his wife Margaret; his son Daniel McCready (Dawn) of Pine Hill, NJ; and his sister Veronica McCready.
He is survived by: his children, James McCready, Jr. (Lorraine) of Burlington, NJ, Margaret Dederick (Dan) of Fayetteville, NC, Karen Buchanan (Robert Sr.) of Southampton, NJ and Terri Lee Costa (Michael) of Clementon, NJ; his grandchildren, Sean, Christine McCready, Matthew, April Dederick, Bobby, Leah Buchanan, Kenny McCready, Andrew Costa and Danny McCready, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Paige, Emma Dederick, Ayden, Chase Buchanan, Dalyn Dederick, Huck Walton and Quinn McCready. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home (127 Medford Mt Holly Rd, Medford, NJ 08055). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. An entombment was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Locustwood Memorial Park (1500 Marlton Pike W, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
