“The world was a better place with Phil. We met nearly 48 years ago as Felipe in spanish class, a name he always answered to. The joy in the class was Phil's smile, sense of humor and adventure -- the latter outside of class and in English. Phil and his good friend Ken could find fun in most anything and I was privileged to join them in school and after hours fun. He was a great friend -- and he made a wonderful life & family. “I am so sorry to have learned that Philip recently passed away. We were classmates at P.S#15, Walt Whitman, and Roosevelt High School. He was truly a great guy , with a funny sense of humor! One memory that stands out was his passion for making PERFECT paper airplanes as a little kid! He followed his passion later in life, and chose a field he loved with all his heart.
