She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Shontz and Lillian Shontz; her son Matthew Gerber; and her grandson Joshua Gerber. She is survived by: her children, Brian Gerber and Debra Gerber; her grandchildren, Brandy Titus (Matt), Chad Gerber and Tyler Gerber; her great grandchildren, Maddy and Sam; and her former husband Louis Gerber.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Shirley's name.
