He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Ann Babbitt; and his brother Claude P. Babbitt, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Lewis Babbitt, Jr. (Ida), Donald Babbitt (Vicki), Jason Babbitt (Shanda) and Sandra Gelato (Greg); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Sydney, Hannah, Briana, Julia, Dean, Andrew and Serafina; and his brother George E. Babbitt (Leslie).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home - Mendham (8 Hilltop Rd, Mendham Borough, NJ 07945). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, August 28th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Peapack Union Cemetery.
