We announce the death of Margaret M. O'Neill in Metuchen, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her husband John Matas Sr.; her parents, Francis O'Neill and Margaret O'Neill; and her siblings, Charles O'Neill and Catherine D. Pyne.
She is survived by: her son John; her daughter-in-law Michelle Matas; her daughter Mary; her son-in-law Jonathan Rudin; and her grandchildren, Samantha (Chris), Jessica (Evan), Katherine (Cam), Matthew, Kelsey and Emily. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of Saint Ann (1253 Lawrenceville Rd, Lawrence Township, NJ 08648). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
