She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Doerer and Shirley Doerer; her sisters, Chris Ann Doerer and Joanne Johnson; and her sister-in-law Doreen Doerer.
She is survived by: her husband Alan Karl Mathews; her children, Christopher Mathews and Brittney Mathews; her siblings, Deborah Fortenboher (Joseph) and Frank Doerer (Carrie); her brother-in-law Steve Johnson; and her pet Leo. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rossi Funeral Home (1937 Westfield Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076). A graveside service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hillside Cemetery (1401 Woodland Ave, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076).
