She was predeceased by: her husband Raymond J. Dempsey; and her brother Eugene. She is survived by: her children, Christine Vohden (Cedric), Ellen Strong (Peter) and Raymond J. Dempsey, Jr. (Theresa); her grandchildren, Michael (Laura), Christopher (Kathleen), Megan (Ross) and Sean (Elaine); and her great grandchildren, Claire, Max, Tadhg and Lily.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
