With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joan Claypotch of Middlesex, New Jersey, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joan left this world on June 8, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Krommes and Frederica Fritz Krommes (Freida); her husband John R. Claypotch Sr.; and her siblings, Marguerite Wagner, Ruth Throne, William Krommes and Frederick Krommes (Teddy).
She is survived by: her children, Joyce LaPlante (Glenn Daniels) of Clearwater, FL, John R. Claypotch Jr. (Marianne), Donna Maser (Michael Maser) and Cheryl Piscitelli (Nicholas V. Piscitelli) of Somerset, NJ.; her grandchildren, Amy and Daniel Schade; her great grandchildren, Eleanor Olive and Clara Madeline of Harrisburg, PA; her granddaughter Dr. Amanda LaPlante Massoomi (Michael Massoomi); her great grandchildren, Max and Ava of Gainesville, FL; her grandchildren, Matthew Claypotch (Caitlin) of Mountain View, CA, Emily, Aaron Santory of Pasadena, MD, Alana, Lauren, John Maser and Nicholas C. Piscitelli of Somerset, NJ.; and her sisters-in-law, Carol Progansky of Drums and Beverly Sheman of Drums. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Krapf & Hughes Funeral Home – Crematory (530 W Butler Dr, Drums, PA 18222). A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Sky View Memorial Park (108 Lafayette Ave, Tamaqua, PA 18252).
