She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas George Derby and Helen Frances Derby; her husband William J. Scheurer; her close friend Hugh A. Boyle; and her brothers, Thomas G. Derby and Joseph Derby.

She is survived by: her children, Noreen Phalon (Christopher) of Wheaton, IL, Patricia McCann (Paul Milne) of Dublin, Judith Glynn (Steve Dunning) of Jacksonville, FL, Margaret Moruzzi (Victor) of Middletown, NJ and William Scheurer (Mary) of Madison, NJ; her grandchildren, Christopher Phalon (Kaylee), Caitlin Phalon, Deirdre Phalon, Meg McCann, Claire Milne, Declan Milne, Kathleen Scheurer, William Scheurer and Patrick Scheurer; her great grandchildren, Thomas, William and Claire Phalon; and her brother James Derby (Elaine) of Indianapolis, IN.
