With sadness, we share the passing of Ruth Matena of Middletown, New Jersey. Ruth, born on May 11, 1922, passed away on May 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Ruth for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Steck and Teresa Steck; her husband Philip Matena; her son-in-law Benjamin Hough; and her granddaughter Stephanie Carolyn Torok.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Hough, Janet Benedict (Charles Benedict III), Philip Matena (Virginia Matena) and Barbara Torok (Bruce Torok). She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
