He is survived by : his close friend Jeff; his brother Frank (Giants); his wife Elizabeth Filardo Acinapura; his son Anthony Acinapura Jr. (Yvonne); his grandchildren, Alessia, Emilia and Isabel; his daughter Lisa Acinapura (Brian Sosa); his grandchildren, Giovanni and Antonia; his daughter Lauren Acinapura (Mike Zimmerman); and his grandchildren, Maria, Michael and Sophia.

“I met Tony(aka,the Atch) at Georgetown University in 1957. Tony was a good friend of Frank Scudder. Our paths United again at Lutheran Medical Center when he became Chief of Surgery and I was an ophthalmologist on staff. We enjoyed many good years of friendship and laughter,especially at the Fireside Investment club when we would meet monthly at th Embers restaurant in Bay Ridge,Brooklyn.The prayers of the entire Lazzaro family are with Elizabeth and family. Hail and farewell,good friend.”
