It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James M. Bertan of Millstone Township, New Jersey, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, who passed away on October 2, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Bertan and Susan Bertan (Ochman); and his daughter Joy Bertan Guzik. He is survived by: his wife Joyce A. Bertan (Lippoi); and his children, Janel Bertan of Robbinsville and James, II of Howell.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Princeton Memorial Park (403 Gordon Rd, Robbinsville Twp, NJ 08691).
