He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife JoAnn Burns; his parents, Mary Jean Burns and Norman R. Burns Sr.; his siblings, Norman R. "Dick" Burns Jr. and Bonnie Bassett; his children, David Burns, Jr. and LeAnn Burns; his sisters, Betsy A. Burns and Beverly J. Booz; and his sister-in-law Pat Burns. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
