He was predeceased by : his parents, Harry Menz and Cora Menz; his wife Lois; his daughter Diane Saunders; and his son-in-law Robert Johnson.

He is survived by : his children, Linda Johnson, Rodney Menz (Brenda) and Jeffrey Menz; his sister Jean Cook; and his grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Erin Starer, Jennifer Payton and Rodney Menz. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
