She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert H. Gross (Attrew Beachaump Gross) and Attrew Gross; her grandmother Ethel Beachaump; and her siblings, Sharon, Valerie Gross, Franklin D. and Robert M. Gross (Karen).
She is survived by: her husband Howard M. Smith; her children, Dawn Michele Holmes (Khent), Marlin Coursey (Malinda) and Lauren Graham (DeHaven); her siblings, Gloria Gross (William Johnson), James Gross (Christine), Jeffrey Gross (Kimberly), Samuel Gross and Carolyn Harden (Spencer); and her cousin Joyce Beachaump Chin.
Additionally, she spent some years after retirement, working in the office of Haleyville-Mauricetown School and she also assisted in classrooms in the Millville Public School District until the pandemic in 2020.
