She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas C. Soltys; her siblings, Marie Zadra, Lorraine Vassel, Carmella Salotti, William Myers, Robert Myers, Rosemarie Roberti and Patricia Walzer; and also Barbara Plummer.

She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Upham (Buddy); her grandchildren, Thomas A. Upham (Shannon) of Mooresville, IN and Megan Irwin (Justin) of Ocala, FL; her great grandchild Jace Irwin; her sister-in-law Joan Soltys; her nieces, Catheil Harris, Carolyn Jacobs and Darlene Castelini; her cousin Sue Whilden; and also Virginia Gandy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in Rita's memory to Bayada Hospice, 600 Jessup Road, Suite 100A, West Deptford, NJ 08066.
