He was predeceased by: his parents, Kermit Lewis and Barbara Lewis (Franklin); his wife Jennie Lewis (Ford); his sons, Roscoe James and Kermit Joseph; and his brother Joseph Lewis.

He is survived by: his sons, Robert "Bob" Lewis (Lorraine) of Wilton, CT and Charles "Chuck" Lewis (Jennifer) of Millville; his siblings, Barbara Whildon of Port Elizabeth, Jeanie Parker of Louisiana and Kenneth Lewis (Nancy) of Muncie, IN; and his grandchildren, Cole, Cade, Brittany, Sarah and Abigail. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
