He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ellen; his mother Mary Chmiel; his daughters, Patricia Chmiel, Mary Faith Chmiel, Christine Dawe (Rob), Maggie Fisher (Dave) and Sarah Deckman (Eric); his grandchildren, Tony D'Elia (Rachel), Jessica D'Elia, Lisa D'Elia (Rich), Alexandra Apat, Jaz'myne Moore, Jack Deckman (Brittany), Cecilia (Ricky) and Luke Deckman (Mary); and his great grandchildren, James Ryan and Liam Deckman.
Donations in his memory can be made to the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN, or to the Monroe Twp (Middlesex County) Public Library.
