Christian B. Borst Obituary
Christian Borst, 31, of Monroe Township, New Jersey, passed away on May 19, 2025, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick after a lifelong and courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis.
Born on February 1, 1994, Christian lived his entire life in Monroe Township, where he was known for his big heart, creative spirit, and strong bond with his family and friends. A graduate of Monroe Township High School, Christian had a passion for art and design, often spending hours drawing or working on creative projects. He enjoyed working with his father at the auto body repair shop, had a love for BMX biking, and was an avid video game player on his Xbox. His unique sense of style was reflected in his ever-growing collections of hats and sneakers, and he was never far from his favorite fast-food meal, sour candy, or a cold can of Pepsi.
Christian was lovingly raised and cared for by his devoted grandparents, Colleen and Gary Genovese of Monroe Township, whose love and support remained the foundation of his life. He is survived by his father, Brian Genovese of Las Vegas, NV; his mother, Kimberly Halsey of Matawan, NJ; his sister, Hailey Genovese of Las Vegas, NV; and his brother, Leven Genovese, also of Las Vegas, NV.
He also survived by his loving Aunts and Uncles: Karen and Mike Lange of Monroe Township, NJ; Jill and Don Everett of Columbus, NJ; Richie and Michelle Borst of Fork Township, PA; and his beloved cousins, Gabriella, Garrett, Aidan, Ali, Madeline, Austin, Peyton, Richie, and Lucas.
Christian was predeceased by his grandparents, Terry and Richard Borst of Helmetta, NJ.
Christian will be remembered for his kind soul, his sense of humor, his artistic eye, and his strength in the face of adversity. He touched many lives with his warmth and resilience and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the nurses, techs, and staff from Christian's Tower 5 Family at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, who cared for Christian with extraordinary compassion over the past several months. They also wish to thank the doctors and medical professionals who provided Christian with love and care throughout his 31 years.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 am, at The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, where a service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
