He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles and Eleanor Ahrens; his wife Lorraine Ahrens; his siblings, Charles Ahrens and Doris Horodecki; his daughter Deborah Wilson; and his grandson Joseph Rogers.

He is survived by: his children, George Ahrens of Tobyhanna, PA, Charles Ahrens, Doris Rogers of Harrison, TN, Anita Ahrens of Belleville, NJ and Brenda Ahrens of Monroe Township, NJ; his grandchildren, Stephanie, Christopher, Miguel, Jacob, Andria, Erika, Nia and David; and his great grandchildren, Brianna, Marina, Emma, Carly, Finn and Benjamin.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Spotswood Church of God (18 Clayton Ave, Monroe Township, NJ 08831).
