We are sad to announce that, on April 7, 2023, Kathryn N. Obal of Monroe Township, New Jersey, born in Sayreville, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexandria Szumowski and Joseph Nicewicz; and her siblings, Stanley, Joe Nicewicz, Helen Garvin, Rose Vigilante and Ann Keenan.
She is survived by: her husband Walter J. Obal of Monroe Township, NJ; her children, Walter J. Obal (Louise) of Plainsboro, NJ, Thomas W. Obal of Monroe Township, NJ and Debra Bertone (Kevin) of Groveville, NJ; her grandchildren, Jason Bertone of Denver, CO and Juliann Bertone (Sam Hitchcock); her brother-in-law Joe Obal (Joan) of Sayreville, NJ.; her extended family, Karen, Guy, Mark, Carol, Susan, Maryanne and Tim; and her nieces and nephews, Walter, Matt, Kathy, Patti, Mark, Jimmy, Robert, John, Tim Keenan, Anthony, Kenneth, Garrett and Brandon.
In lieu of flowers and for those who desire, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one's choice in Kathryn's name.
