He is survived by: his grandchild Merck; his wife Marcia; his children, Jonathan Herz-Midler (Denise), Sharon Midler (Aaron) and Jill Midler; his grandsons, Sam Herz-Midler, Max Cotler (Rebecca) and Grant Cotler (Katie); and his nephews, Paul Morenberg (Carrie), Steven Morenberg (Heather Dunn), Jimmy Bachman and David Bachman.
