He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edwards Strong and Frances Strong (Harding). He is survived by: his wife Susan Strong (Joy); his children, Kathryn Mielke (Brian) of Lake Villa, Jessica Zimmer (Cody) of Jersey City and Douglas Strong (Meghan) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Alexa, Tyler, Liliana, Jadzia, Emma, Abby and Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Raynor & D'Andrea Funeral Homes (245 Main St, West Sayville, NY 11796). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation (https://www.michaeljfox.org) for Parkinson's Research or to the Seneca Yacht Club Sailing Academy.
