She was predeceased by: her parents, Royce Kuren and Helen Van Kuren; and her husband Joseph C. Smith, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Susan Spencer, Joseph C. Smith, Jr., Todd Smith (Nanci) and Jeff Smith (Christine); her grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Kaitlin, Jeremy, Matthew, Kathleen, Melanie and Rachelle; and her great grandchildren, Josephine, Lucy and Damian. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
