He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Connell and Kathryn Connell. He is survived by : his son James Patrick; his wife Sally Connell; his daughter-in-law Jen; his stepdaughter Jacquelyne; his granddaughter Scarlett; his siblings, Raymond, William, Eileen, Diane and Kathy; and his former life partner Patricia.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in memory of James, to the Connell Family Scholarship to the attention of Providence College, Alumni Development Office.
