She was predeceased by: her parents, Winifred Walrond and Roy Hybert; her husband Alfred Small; and her sisters, Mary Walrond (May) and Brenda Belcon.
She is survived by: her son Garfield Walter; her daughter-in-law Aileen Walter; her granddaughter Helen Crossen (David Crossen); her great grandchildren, John "Jack" Crossen and Benjamin Crossen; and her nieces and nephews, Rosemarie, Natalie, Wendy, Sharon, Ian and Ricardo. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Caggiano Memorial (62 Grove St, Montclair, NJ 07042).
She believed strongly in nursing's vital contribution to health care and took great pride in her profession.
