He is survived by: his wife Dr. Karen Cortellino; his children, Vanessa Montaperto (Giuseppe), Alexander Peña, Joseph Michalek and Jason Michalek (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, John Paul, Claire, Joshua, Seth and Emilia; and his sisters, Velma, Ileana and Aracely.
