“Bob Shea and Mattia Shea he spoke very highly of, He would often mention how he enjoyed their company and the great food they made. He really valued their friendship. One time, unaware he was in a rehabilitation center, I had called the Moorsetown Police to do a wellness check, He and the police laughed since he had been home about thirty minutes. He said his brother John did the same.”

“I have many memories of Uncle Fred. He had a great view on life. Was a great photographer and took many pictures of my first communion. He had a sailboat he called "Nephew's Six" named for the six boys his brother and sister-in-law had before they adopted. He had a cat named JJ who would always sit on the car before you left. He had a great respect for nature and animals. In his backyard he had a statue to St Francis of Assisi with a bowl underneath to collect rain water.”
