Ira Gottlieb wrote a sympathy message

“I know this is quite late, but for some reason I thought of Joe today, looking back on the past, and a Google search uncovered this sad news of his passing. It was a lifetime ago, but I went to law school with Joe, and he, Roy Cohen (who’s still in Philly last I heard) and I hung out together at the campus, and bucked each other up as we faced challenges we had rarely experienced before coming to Rutgers. Joe was glib, charming, witty, and had a great sense of humor. Ira Gottlieb”
