He is survived by: his wife Carmen "Marcia" Windt (Vazquez); his son Gary "Skip" Windt; his daughter-in-law Lindsay; his daughter Katie Fitzpatrick (Windt); his son-in-law TJ; his granddaughters, Virginia, Jameson and Claire; his mother Valerie Windt (Franklin); his sister Joni Saathoff (Windt); his brother-in-law Jimmy; his brother Scott Windt; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie and Mike Fitzgerald. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
