He was predeceased by: his parents, William Patrick Lloyd of Co and Mary Kelly of Co. He is survived by: his daughter Allison Porter (Michael Porter); his grandchildren, Makenzie Porter and Callahan Porter; his son William Lloyd; his grandchildren, Madelynn Lloyd, Kayla Lloyd and Liam Lloyd; his son Desmond Lloyd Jr. (Jeanne Lloyd); his granddaughters, Alice Lloyd and Elizabeth Lloyd; and his son Michael Lloyd.

A longtime Commissioner of the Morris County Sheriffs CrimeStoppers Organization, he also served as a Trustee on the Morristown Partnership and the Eblensy Foundation of NJ, which honored him and Alice with a Humanitarian Award in 1999.
