He is survived by: his wife Julia B. Gilyard; his children, Reverend Andre Gilyard (Juanita) of Marietta, Durand Gilyard of Edgewater Park, NJ and Raja L. Gilyard of Mount Laurel, NJ; his grandchild DeAnda R. Bruce; his children, Dasia L. Gilyard, Edward D. Gilyard of Marietta, Jordan Gilyard of Warrensburg, MO and Amar'e C. Matlock of Mount Laurel, NJ; his great grandchildren, DeAsia and Jaylen Bruce of Marietta; and his siblings-in-law, Louella Miller of Adel and Jesse Mosley (Jean) of McDonough.
