She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert (Marianne Gsell) and Emma; her husband C. Bryant Newcomb; her son John Newcomb; and her siblings, Michael Gsell, Lydia Schäfer, Marianne Hall, Otto Gsell and Ludwig Gsell.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Newcomb, Karin Newcomb, Mark Newcomb (Stephanie) and Bryant B. Newcomb (Nancy); her grandchildren, Alex Newcomb, Kaitlyn Newcomb and Lindsay Newcomb; and her siblings, Anton Gsell (Tony) and Eugenia Collins (Jean). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Emma's name to Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org).
