He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred C. Shotwell, and Nettie Rae Shotwell, Sr.; and his sister Doris Rukgaber. He is survived by: his wife Virginia L. Shotwell; his children, Fred C. Shotwell III (Jeanne) and Gwendolyn L. Swire (Jack); his grandchildren, Brian Shotwell (Emily), Kevin Shotwell (Xymena), Samantha Adams (Joseph) and Matthew Swire; his great grandchildren, Liam Shotwell, Emerson Shotwell and Grace Adams; and his sister Janet Hunt.
