He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Alice (Banks) and Willie Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Venetia; his children, Gerald (Medinah) and Givane; his grandchildren, Summayah (Jamann), Adam and Jaseerah; and his brother Willie. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Laurel Home For Funerals (212 Ark Rd, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054).
