We announce the death of John C. Gidel (Mount Laurel, New Jersey), who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 90. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Leo and Germain Agatha Gidel; his son Mark Gidel; and his siblings, Richard Gidel, Barbara Bartek and Barry Gidel.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Catherine Skowran of Stephen's Catholic School; his children, Michael Gidel and Lynn Clark (Rich); his grandchildren, Rebecca Gidel, Lauren Gidel, Jamie Clark (Dwayne), John Gidel II and Brandon Gidel (Noelle); his great grandchildren, Mason Clark, Carter Gidel and Charlie Gidel; his brother-in-law Bob Bartek; Rose and Tillie (Bill). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great‑nieces and nephews.
