He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Chappell and Mary Chappell; his wife Carolyn M. Chappell; and his siblings, James C. Chappell and Suzanne E. Chappell.
He is survived by: his sister Lynne Myers; his children, Dr. Stephen Chappell and Cynthia Desderio (Tony); and his granddaughters, Julia Desderio, Kayla Chappell and Katherine Desderio. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to Marist School in Atlanta, Georgia, or St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Church in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
