Edward Ziegler Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward Ziegler of Neptune, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 5, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Ziegler and Mary Ziegler; his wife Joan Szaro; his brothers, Bernie and Joseph; his son-in-law Roger Peterson; and his grandson-in-law Christopher Dall.
He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Peterson of Dickinson, TX, Nancy Rose (Richard) of Neptune, Gail Pietrafesa (Mark) of Delmar, NY and Linda DeTitta (Tom) of Florham Park; his sister Pat; his brother-in-law Romano; and his grandchildren, Kristi Shalton, Lauren Hymel (Jon), Jeff Peterson (Macarena), Hannah Rose Dall and Mia Rose. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ely Funeral Home (3316 NJ-33, Neptune City, NJ 07753). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Innocents Church (3455 W Bangs Ave, Neptune City, NJ 07753). An entombment will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Catharines Cemetery (1100 W Chicago Blvd, Sea Girt, NJ 08750).
