We announce the death of Helen DeSarno of Neptune, New Jersey, born in Spring Lake, New Jersey, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 96. Helen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Helen will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Helen’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph DeSarno and Raphael DeSarno; and her sisters, Lillian DeSarno and Ann Matthews. She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Cynthia Breslin (Michael), Ralph Matthews (Joan), Steve Matthews (Karen) and Alana Shauger (Brian).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fiore-Buckley Funeral Home (236 Monmouth Rd, Oakhurst, NJ 07755). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mount Calvary Cemetery (2500 NJ-66, Neptune City, NJ 07753).
