She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Fredericka Hinson (Freddie) and Isaiah Hinson; her husband John Elin; her grandchildren, John D. Griffin, Kevin D. Griffin, Matthew V. Griffin [Jamie Griffin] and Charise Edwards (Griffin); her son-in-law Francis D. Griffin; and her great grandchildren, Kevin, Amber, Trent and Max Griffin. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
