He was predeceased by : his parents, Nelson Hanawalt and Pearl Bassett Hanawalt of New Brunswick, NJ.. He is survived by : his wife Mary; his children, Heather Barnhart (Mark) and William Hanawalt (Bill); his sister Barbara Hanawalt of Bloomington, IND; and his stepchildren, Andrew Bowman (Sheryl), Rachel Austin (Donnie), Rebecca Brumbaugh (Kevin), Levi Bowman (Ann), Ruth Woody (Scott) and Lois Poland (Chris). He is also survived by 37 step-grandchildren and 40 step-great-grandchildren and many special friends.
