He is survived by: his aunt Sarah Thomas; his children, Derek Cruse and Vikki Abdus-Salaam (Wali); his grandchildren, Derek DiShawn and Amani; his great grandchildren, Dikier, Sabriya, Zakir, Nazir, Zaniyah, Alanah and Amara; and his great great grandchildren, Hazel and Kye. He is also survived by nephews, niece.
