It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carlos Manuel Ortiz of Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia R. Ortiz; his daughter Rebecca Wapinsky; his mother Isabel Ortiz Núñez; and his brother Victor M. Ortiz. He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Valentin and Emma Serrano; his father Pedro Ortiz; and his siblings, Lucy Ortiz, Elizabeth Ortiz, Maritza Ortiz, Yvette Ortiz, Jose Ortiz, Pedro Ortiz Jr. and Ramon Ortiz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the Villa Americas Funeral Home (279 Roseville Ave, Newark, NJ 07107).
