He is survived by: his children, Anthony Charles Hurt of Chase City, VA, Glenn J. Townes of Sterling, VA, Wilson L. Townes of Newark, NJ and Tamira Tims of Newark, NJ; and his siblings, Ray Watkins, Willie Ben Tisdale, Lorene Stanford, Rebecca House and Jenny B. Ferguson. He is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
