Holmes of Albany and Roger Holmes of Newport News, Virginia.; her sister Shirley Reed of Irvington; her grandchildren, Ashley B. Holmes of Clayton, Charles Holmes, Jr. of Durham, Loleta Parrish of Atlanta and Kaseem Holmes of Newark; her great great grandchildren, Kamilah Joy Holmes of Durham, Justice Gabriel Holmes of Durham, Yeoshua Parrish, Yasmin Parrish and Yasir Parrish; her nieces, Patricia and Pamela Reed; her close friends, Angela Grant and Pauline Moses; and her brother-in-law Joel Holmes of Richmond, Virginia.. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
