With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Luis Mejia (Newark, New Jersey), who passed away on April 22, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Luis departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of our hearts. Though Luis may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He is survived by : his wife Luz Amanda Mejia; his daughters, Martha Mejia and Monica Valencia Mejia; his grandchildren, Bianca Benitez, William Luis Valencia and Nicolas Andres Valencia; and his siblings, Francisco Mejia and Cecilia Mejia.

A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Our Lady of Mt Carmel RC Church (259 Oliver St, Newark, NJ 07105).
