Merwin M. Nelkin Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merwin M. Nelkin in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on January 6, 2026 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Merwin had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Merwin may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He is survived by: his daughters, Randi and Mindi; his grandchildren, Kyle Plotkin, Corey Kaunfer, Julie Plotkin and Adam Kaunfer; and his great grandchild Nathan Plotkin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
