He was predeceased by: his parents, John Scott and Ella Mae Scott; his wife Lydia Mae Scott; his siblings, Marie Scott, Lucille Scott, Mary Jane Scott and Charlie Scott; and his children, Tyrese Scott and Lamont D. Scott.
He is survived by: his children, James Patrick Scott, Jacqueline Gates (Anthony Gates), Myron Scott and Michael D Scott (Nefertiti Scott); his brothers, Francell Scott (Lucy White Scott), Walter Lee Scott (Patricia Scott) and James Scott; and his friends, Melvin Brownridge, Roosevelt Ford and Vera Long. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Viewing was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Beach Funeral & Cremation Services (4456 Bonney Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Cemetery (8100 Granby St, Norfolk, VA 23505).
