She was predeceased by: her parents, Wille Sanford and Minnie Sanford; her husband John L. Mathis; and her son George Cook, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Rosalie, Marilyn Marion (Tony) of Nanuet, Antoinette Lewis (late Roosevelt) of Philadelphia, Claudette Mathis Igwe of Newark, NJ and Evalina Hinton (Lonnie) of Clayton, NC; her grandchildren, Anthony (Edwidge), Joshua, Alivah and Elijah; and her friend Louis Jackson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
