Marlene A. Bassett Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Marlene A. Bassett in Newton, New Jersey. Marlene, born on August 21, 1937, passed away on August 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alice Hritz Byzek and John A. Byzek; and her siblings, Norene Fireman and John Byzek. She is survived by: her children, Paul Bassett, Susan Bassett, Kristina Dinich (Ken), Nancy Balliet, Michael Bassett (Sandra) and Robert Bassett (Cindy); and her siblings, Janet Potts (John), Alicia Byzek and Jode Byzek (Denise). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
